DriveTeq CTMP Track Days

Learning on and off the track through coaching and hands on driving with
Gerry and Rick at Driveteq has been a blast! Coming in as a complete
beginner, I was very intimidated and nervous. Through the coaching and
classroom theory, as well as plenty of patience and encouragement from the
coaches, I very quickly became a more confident driver both on the track and
off. I always felt safe, and ALWAYS had a big smile on my face going around
the track. Gerry, Rick and other drivers really make you feel welcome. Gerry
and Rick spend the time with each person to get to know them and teach them.
There full service meals and snacks are always delicious and plentiful!
Whether you are in it for sport, or to become a more advanced driver on the
road, I highly recommend Driveteq!

I have had the pleasure of participating in a two dozen events; road trips, local events and even gokarting.

They have all the bases covered; coaching, car prep, logistics ect ect

The level or organization and safety conciousness is what keeps me coming back.

I have been working with DriveTeq since 2008 learning to drive at Toronto Motorsports Park and Mosport Sieya and other events initially and then Tremblant, Sebring, Calabogie. I have over 100 track days since and do Time Attack competitions as well as lapping events in Florida in the winter and Canada in the summer. Gerry and Rick have helped me learn to go fast through in a number of vehicles. The 5 years of working with them on how to see when driving, when to accelerate, when to brake, how to trail brake through a corner so no vehicle balancing is required all came together for me in Time Attack at Mosport in 2013 when i beat the CASCAR (Canadian NASCAR) lap time record there in my Radical SR8. Jerry taught me the correct lines and the concept of moving through a track based on how it feels, the rhythm established when you turn in at exactly the right points to minimize braking. Coupled with Rick’s teaching me how to trail brake effectively and the both of them continually reminding me to look up and through the corners, man I went fast beyond belief. The 1:22 at Mosport felt like nothing else I have ever experienced. Thanks Gerry and Rick!

I have been attending Seiya/Driveteq sessions for several years now and have really enjoyed learning and improving my skills from both Gerry and Rick. The classroom theory that is presented is well thought out and very helpful. Time on the track with either Rick or Gerry in the car is a lot of fun – and very helpful. Safety is always at the forefront of the day. Oh, yeah – and the Jerk Chicken is always a hit a lunch!
